Magdalena Król is University Professor and a Group Leader at Warsaw University of Life Sciences (Poland). She finished her PhD in 2009 and obtained Post-doctoral degree (habilitation) in 2014 at the same University. In her research she focuses on a role of tumor microenvironment in cancer metastasis with particular attention put on tumor-associated macrophages and Wnt signalling. For her scientific achievements she was awarded with: The Highest Individual Scientific Award from the Rector of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, The highest Scientific Award in ‘Science’ category in ‘Poles with Verve’ plebiscite, POLITYKA Weekly–The Highest Scientific Award in ‘Science’ category (in competition of 170 Top Polish Scientists), L`Oreal & Unesco ‘for Woman in Science’ habilitation (postdoctoral degree) fellowship, Fellowship from the Minister of Science & Higher Education for the Outstanding Young Researcher, Young Investigator Scholarship in Veterinary Medicine Granted by Pfizer Animal Health, START Fellowship for Outstanding Young Researchers from Foundation for Polish Science. . She is co-author of more than 45 papers in peer-review journals and more than 100 conference reports. Prof Krol is co-inventor of three patents.

Tomasz Rygiel is an Assistant Professor and a Group Leader at Medical University of Warsaw (Poland). In 2009, he obtained his PhD from University of Amsterdam (The Netherlands), after conducting research at Netherlands Cancer Institute (group of Dr John Collard),. Subsequently, he moved to the group of Prof Linde Meyaard at  University Medical Center Utrecht (The Netherlands. In 2012, he was awarded a HOMING PLUS scholarship from Foundation for Polish Science.. Currently, his research aims to understand immune regulation during acute and chronic inflammation as well as immune influence on cancer development and therapy. For his scientific achievements, he was awarded with Fellowship from the Minister of Science & Higher Education for the Outstanding Young Researcher and Award of the Rector of Medical University of Warsaw for scientific publication. Dr Rygiel is co-inventor of three patents.

Anna Sikora obtained PhD at University of Warsaw in 2016. Dr Sikora currently completing Master Degree in Psychology at University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Warsaw. Her work experience include coordinator of educational projects in the Center of Environmental Education ”Źródła”, environmental education`s coach at Museum of King Jan III`s Palace at Wilanów and administrative assistant in Foundation of Experimental and Clinical Oncology. She was awarded with fellowship for research stay in Aquatic Chemical Ecology Group at University of Cologne for 10 months from German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Dr Sikora is co-author of 5 papers and 14 conference reports.
