Julia Nowakowska Presented Research at EACR Conference in Bergamo

Julia Nowakowska represented Cellis at the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR) conference “The Tumour Ecosystem: From Mechanisms to Novel Therapeutics”, held on 17–19 March 2026 in Bergamo, Italy.

The conference brought together leading researchers, clinicians, and industry scientists to discuss the latest advances in tumour microenvironment research, cancer immunology, metastasis, and innovative therapeutic approaches. The scientific programme focused on the complex interactions between cancer cells, immune cells, stromal cells, and other components of the tumour ecosystem that influence tumour progression and response to therapy.

During the conference, Julia presented a scientific poster entitled “Macrophage–dendritic cell crosstalk in a glioma model”, highlighting recent findings on immune cell interactions within the glioblastoma tumour microenvironment. The presented research contributes to a better understanding of the mechanisms regulating macrophage and dendritic cell communication and their potential role in the development of novel immunotherapeutic strategies.

The conference provided an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas with internationally recognized experts in cancer biology, discuss emerging concepts in tumour microenvironment research, and establish new scientific connections.
